Youth Parliament under the Senate and OSCE Expand Cooperation in Supporting Young People

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Members of the Youth Parliament under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis held a meeting with the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, Antti Karttunen.

During the discussion, Chairwoman of the Youth Parliament Lailo Aslonova presented information on the key objectives, goals, and main areas of activity of the body, which is focused on supporting and developing youth.

Antti Karttunen, in turn, briefed participants on the OSCE’s priorities in Uzbekistan, stressing the importance of projects aimed at strengthening civil society, improving the education system, and protecting human rights.

As a result of the talks, the sides agreed to implement joint initiatives to enhance media literacy, introduce innovative approaches in the educational process, and expand legal knowledge among young people.

In conclusion, both parties reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation in the field of youth policy and to implement joint projects.
