Young Uzbek Judokas Win Six Medals at the World Youth Championships in Peru

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Young judokas from Uzbekistan won six medals at the World Youth Judo Championships held in Peru.

In the individual competitions, the national team excelled in the heavier weight categories, earning one silver and five bronze medals.

Umida Nigmatova claimed the silver medal in the over 78 kg weight division, while Alisher Samanov and Mukhammadali Zoirov secured bronze medals in the under 90 kg and under 100 kg categories, respectively.

Following the individual events, Team Uzbekistan demonstrated strong results, further strengthening the country’s standing in youth judo on the international stage.
