Yoshinori Fujiyama becomes Japan’s new Ambassador to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 August 2019, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, Yoshinori Fujiyama.

Accepting copies of his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him fruitful work, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

During the conversation, the high level of trust and mutual understanding between the two countries, the coincidence of views and similar approaches to the current agenda of cooperation, as well as international and regional issues, were emphasized.

The parties noted the huge potential for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as mutual interest in enhancing cooperation in this area.

Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of preparing for the upcoming visits at the highest and highest levels. Confidence was expressed that the planned meetings will serve to intensify the Uzbek-Japanese dialogue and give impetus to the whole range of bilateral relations.
