Yevgeny Birger was appointed to the post of general director of the national postal operator "Uzbekiston Pochtasi" ("Uzbekistan Post") on 23 May. The press service of the company said.
At this post, he replaced Shukhrat Atamuhamedov. On 12 May, he was appointed to the post of khokim of Uchtepa district of Tashkent.
Yevgeny Birger was born 19 May 1960 in Moscow region. In 1982, he graduated from the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications. He is candidate of Economic Sciences.
