The agreement on the opening of the branch of this university was reached during the negotiations of the delegation of Tashkent khokimiyat (administration) in Seoul.

It is expected that Yeoju Institute of Technology will accept the first students on 1 September 2018.

The branch of the Yeoju Institute of Technology in Tashkent will introduce an educational and preparatory program at the level of international standards in the field of electronics, architecture, construction, design, land cadastre, engineering and marketing.

The Uzbek side is considering the possibility of providing one of the buildings of former colleges in the city of Tashkent. The Korean side intends to open its office in Tashkent to create a university and will send specialists for the organization of the educational process, as well as design of the training complex and procure equipment.
