Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Decree “On measures for the construction of the Yangi Uzbekiston massifs and ensuring the socio-economic development of the regions” was adopted.

According to the Decree, in areas close to regional (city) centers and with a high demand for housing, 29 residential areas "Yangi Uzbekiston" (New Uzbekistan) will be built

About 619 residential buildings (21 thousand 321 apartments), 18 schools, 24 kindergartens, 15 medical institutions will be built in these areas.

Wherein:

- land plots for the construction of apartment buildings are sold to entrepreneurs on a lease basis through an electronic online auction;

- land plots adjacent to residential buildings are provided to owners on the basis of the right of permanent use;

- land plots for the construction of industrial, retail and service facilities created in the massifs are sold to entrepreneurs on the basis of ownership and lease rights through an electronic online auction;

- entrepreneurs who have won an electronic online auction can attract construction organizations with a CCC rating and higher in the construction of apartment buildings.

According to the Decree, 489 hectares of low-profit agricultural land will be transferred to the category of land for settlements and industrial land for the construction of the Yangi Uzbekiston massifs.

Until 1 January 2023, new land will be developed in the amount of 5 times the area of irrigated land, the category of which is changing.

According to the Decree, housing construction will continue on empty land plots built in previous years.
