Yandex Uzbekistan Launches Neural Network–Powered Search in the Uzbek Language
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yandex Uzbekistan has introduced an updated version of its Yandex Search service, now featuring neural networks trained in the Uzbek language for the first time. This upgrade significantly improves the system’s ability to understand queries in Uzbek, deliver more accurate online content searches and translations, and provide concise answers directly in chat.
The new functionality allows the service to translate materials from English and Russian into Uzbek while taking into account national context, making translations more precise and culturally adapted. With this update, users gain access to 11.6 million texts in Uzbek, including Wikipedia articles and resources from the international IT platform Stack Overflow.
Users can now ask questions directly in Yandex Search chat and receive instant answers displayed above website links in search results. Before publishing a response, the neural network analyzes the query to determine whether a concise answer compiled from multiple sources would be helpful. When the Yandex AI option is selected, the system automatically generates a neural network–based reply.
Queries can be made in both Uzbek and Russian, with answers provided accordingly. For instance, the service can explain why Amir Temur is renowned, identify the Uzbek footballer playing for Manchester City, or describe what sets Samarkand plov apart. It can also handle less typical requests, such as suggesting a one‑day sightseeing itinerary for Bukhara.
After receiving an answer, users may ask follow‑up questions in dialogue mode. The neural network suggests related queries to continue the discussion, helping users explore topics more deeply.
Thanks to neural network integration, Yandex Search now understands natural conversational language, allowing users to phrase questions freely.
Responses are based on the most up‑to‑date information, even if it appeared online only a few hours earlier. At the same time, users can always follow source links to verify the information or explore it further.
