Yandex Go Launches Ride-Hailing Service in Kungrad
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Yandex Go ride-hailing service has launched in Kungrad. Residents can now quickly and conveniently book rides through the mobile application, with fares starting from 5,000 soums, the company said in a statement.
To use the service, users need to install the free Yandex Go app from the App Store or Google Play and complete a short registration process.
To request a ride, users enter an address or select a point on the map. The system automatically assigns the nearest driver, displays the estimated arrival time, and plots the route to the destination.
The app provides information about the driver, vehicle make, and estimated travel time. Payments can be made in cash or via a bank card linked to the app. For example, a trip from the railway station to the city hokimiyat office costs approximately 6,000 soums.
All rides include a free passenger and driver insurance program. The app uses Yandex technologies for maps, navigation, and intelligent order distribution.
Kungrad is the 20th city in Uzbekistan where Yandex Go is available. The company plans to expand to additional cities in the country by the end of the year.
