World champion in mixed martial arts detained in Tashkent

World champion on mixed martial arts Murod Khanturaev and several other citizens were detained on 21 June in Yunusabad district of Tashkent. This was reported by the Multimedia Information Center of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the capital city.
Khanturayev and a number of other people were detained on the night of 20-21 June 2018 in Yunusabad region due to deliberate disregard for the rules of conduct in society, the Main Internal Affairs Directorate said.
“At present, the detainee Murod Khanturaev was charged with the commission of a pre-trial offense under Article 277 (" Hooliganism ") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. An investigation is underway,” the report said.
