Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 June, experts from the World Bank specializing in public-private partnership (PPP) met with Ilkhomjon Umurzakov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by Elena Timusheva, World Bank PPP specialist; David Duarte, PPP consultant; Abduqodir Yakubov, Deputy Director of the Department for PPP Development; and other officials.

During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of technical cooperation related to PPPs and fiscal risk management, as well as methodologies and practical tools for project screening and evaluation within the framework of PPP initiatives. They also explored potential avenues for further improvement.

In addition, both sides exchanged views on ongoing PPP projects in key sectors such as water supply and transportation, along with broader issues related to ensuring the financial sustainability and investment attractiveness of these projects.

At the conclusion of the talks, the parties agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation and pursue systematic, results-oriented collaboration to advance their shared objectives.
