Working Group of the Foreign Investors Council Reviews Land Relations Reforms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 October 2025, a meeting of the Working Group of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held to discuss improvements in land allocation procedures.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Cadastre Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Secretariat of the Foreign Investors Council, and the law firm Kosta Legal.
During the session, participants were presented with an overview of ongoing reforms in the field of land relations and the development of a national land policy concept. Special attention was given to issues of particular interest to investors — simplifying land allocation procedures, changing land fund categories, and establishing compensation mechanisms for the withdrawal of agricultural and forest lands.
As a result of the discussions, it was decided to continue joint work on analyzing existing challenges and preparing proposals based on international best practices, with the involvement of government agencies, foreign investors, and international financial institutions.
