Women detained on fraud charges

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 July 2019, a 54-year old woman was detained on fraud charges in Tashkent.

She offered a 44-year old citizen a help to his son to enroll to Tashkent State Law University for US$30,000, the Uzbek Internal Affairs Ministry said.

As a result of operational activities carried out by officers of internal affairs, Kh.A. was detained in a cafe while receiving US$30,000.

On this fact, a criminal case was opened and investigation is underway.
