Woman Hits Child on Pedestrian Crossing in Samarkand Region and Flees

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Samarkand region, a woman driving a Tracker-2 vehicle struck a child on a pedestrian crossing and fled the scene.

The incident occurred on highway A-378. According to the press service of the regional Traffic Police Department, the driver was soon identified. Her vehicle has been impounded, and an administrative protocol has been drawn up against her under the article “Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Accident.”

She faces a fine of 15 base calculation units, amounting to 6.2 million soums.
