Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 29 January 2020, the first meeting of the Economic and Environmental Committee of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe was held in Vienna under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in Vienna.
The Chairman of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Committee, Ambassador Sherzod Asadov acquainted the meeting participants with the Committee’s draft work plan for the current year, which was developed taking into account the views of other countries and based on the development priorities of Uzbekistan, outlined on 24 January by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the Message to the Oliy Majlis.
It should be emphasized that the development of tourism and the strengthening of the role of youth in protecting the environment, as exemplified by large-scale measures undertaken in Karakalpakstan to improve the livelihoods of the population of this region, will be officially discussed for the first time in the OSCE.
