Winners of the IV Me’mor//2025 Architecture Awards Announced

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 October 2025, the ceremony awarding the winners of the IV Me’mor Architecture Awards took place in Tashkent.

This year, the competition reached an international level for the first time, bringing together architects and designers from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Georgia.

The event was organized by KNAUF, with the Association of Young Architects of Uzbekistan as the season’s partner. On the same day, an exhibition of the short-listed works opened, which is available to the public from 3 October at the Tashkent Architecture and Construction University.

For the 2025 season, the short list included 73 architectural and design projects, 23 student works, and 5 journalistic materials, with a total prize fund of 250 million soums.

Main awards included:

“KNAUF. Interior+” (Student category): Harmony in Contrast (Kimyo International University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan)

“Residential Buildings” category: Terracotta Pavilion House (Laboratory of Architecture #3, Georgia) and a 5-storey residential building in Dnipro (ROAD Architects, Ukraine)

“Design” category: Interiors of Restaurant Quadro and Dildora Kasimova Showroom (Uzbekistan)

“Public Space Development” category: Sky Camp 2025 (Ilhom’s Studio, Uzbekistan)

Special awards were presented to Eres Qala Cultural and Community Center (MCHJ "MIZAN", Uzbekistan) and winners in the Journalism category. The E’TIROF award recognized architects Alexander Kuranov and Bakhtiyar Magdiev for their significant contribution to the development of architecture.

According to Dmitry Deripalko, head of KNAUF enterprises in Uzbekistan, the award has become a “truly international project and a new professional benchmark for the regional architectural community.”

Tahmina Turdialieva, coordinator of the awards and chairperson of the Association of Young Architects of Uzbekistan, emphasized: "Me’mor is a tool for professional growth in the industry. The competition establishes transparent quality criteria, stimulates dialogue between architects, media, and clients, and promotes a culture of sustainable solutions that transform the appearance of cities."
