Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 March, a final of the contest “The best child character/group of characters” was organized by the Ministry of Pre-School Education in cooperation with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration.
Over 1000 applications from 270 artists were submitted to this competition. Of these, 17 applicants went to the final: 10 finalists were selected via online voting, seven by the contest organizers.
The works of the participants were evaluated by a competent jury, which included representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Pre-School Education, Agencies, famous artists, designers and bloggers.
Tokhir Islamov won first place in the competition for the best children’s character / group of characters, who scored 172 points.
The second place was occupied by Khurshid Tursunboev. For the heroes Tursunbay and Kuchkorvoya created by him, the judges awarded 152 points.
Third place was won by Leyla Muminova. Her character "Anora" scored 145 points.
The created characters are planned to be used in children’s literature and multimedia educational products of Ministry of Pre-School Education.
