Wildberries to Launch WB Taxi Service in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Wildberries is preparing for the technical launch of its own taxi ordering service, WB Taxi, in Uzbekistan, the company announced.

Initially, the project will operate in a closed-access format, allowing the system to be tested in a controlled environment.

According to Wildberries, the first users will be company employees and marketplace partners.

They will benefit from discounted fares, expedited vehicle dispatch, and a 50% cashback on cashless payments, credited in the company’s proprietary virtual currency, arbuzahs.

The company also noted favorable conditions for drivers, including reduced platform commission and guaranteed earnings per shift, provided service quality standards are met.

“Operating in a closed-club format will let us fine-tune all processes. We will roll out the service in stages and carefully monitor each system element. Feedback from participants will help us improve the product before scaling,” said Anatoly Smorgonsky, head of WB Taxi.

Wildberries continues to expand its logistics and transportation solutions, leveraging its experience in managing large-scale deliveries as a foundation for launching new tech-driven services.

The next steps for WB Taxi in Uzbekistan include expanding service zones and gradually opening the platform to a wider audience.
