Wersirius Considers Opening an Operations Center in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Sherzod Shermatov and accompanied by representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan under the leadership of Farhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, is on a working visit to the United States.
During the visit, the delegation met with Danilo Tosic, co-founder of Wersirius Holding, to discuss prospects for cooperation in logistics outsourcing, digital transformation, and workforce development. The parties focused on how Wersirius’ international experience can contribute to creating a modern logistics support ecosystem in Uzbekistan, expand employment opportunities for young people, and strengthen the country’s position in the global logistics market.
Special attention was given to plans to open a Wersirius operations center in Uzbekistan under the IT Park residency program. The center will provide back-office support for international logistics processes, including dispatching, cargo tracking, staffing, security, and other key functions. Training programs in logistics, dispatching, recruitment, and sales were also discussed to equip young specialists with skills in demand on the international market.
The parties also considered plans to scale the company’s activities—from an initial 50 jobs to 200, with subsequent expansion of technical support and software development functions. It was noted that Uzbekistan has significant human capital, a favorable business environment, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in logistics and digital services.
As a result of the discussions, priority areas of cooperation were identified: establishing a regional Wersirius operations center in Uzbekistan, developing educational programs, and expanding employment opportunities in the logistics and digital sectors. The initiative aims to create new jobs, foster a knowledge-based economy, and accelerate digital transformation in the logistics industry.
