WC-2014: Uzbekistan to play against Japan, Syria and North Korea
In the result of the draw ceremony, which was held in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, Uzbekistan national team was placed to Group C along with Japan, Syria and North Korea.
Group A consists of China, Jordan, Iraq and Singapore, while South Korea, Kuwait, UAE and Lebanon will feature in Group B.
Australia, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Thailand will play in Group D and Iran, Qatar, Bahrain and Indonesia are in Group E.
The matches in the group will take place from 2 September 2011 to 29 February 2012. Five group winners and five runners-up will advance to the next round.
That fourth round will have 10 teams in two round-robin, home-and-away groups of five teams each with the top two in each pool heading for the finals while the two third-placed sides play-off with the winner then facing a continental play-off.
