WB: Uzbekistan’s economy to grow by 5% in 2018

Earlier, the bank predicted that Uzbekistan’s GDP will grow by 5.6% in 2018.

The World Bank also lowered Uzbekistan’s GDP growth forecast for 2019 from 6.3% to 5.1%.

In the report, the bank noted that Uzbekistan tightened its monetary policy after the devaluation of the national currency in September 2017.

Bank experts note that structural reforms in Uzbekistan in different sectors will improve the prospects for long-term growth.
