Waste Collection Tariffs to Rise in Tashkent Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Council of People’s Deputies of the Tashkent region has approved new tariffs for household waste collection and disposal services, which will come into force on 1 April 2026.
The decision was adopted as part of the implementation of a presidential decree aimed at improving the waste management system and based on proposals from relevant authorities.
Under the new regulations, the monthly fee for residents will increase from 7,840 soums to 10,864 soums per person, including VAT. Excluding value-added tax, the tariff will rise from 7,000 to 9,700 soums, representing a 38.6% increase.
For legal entities, service costs are also being indexed: the tariff for the removal of one cubic meter of waste will increase from 82,880 soums to 97,316.8 soums including VAT, and from 74,000 to 86,890 soums excluding VAT, corresponding to a 17.4% rise.
The new rates will apply to services provided by Toza Hudud, Zero-Waste, Zangiota Obodon, Angren Bunyod Fayz, Rahnamo Servis, and Ohangaron Sanitariya Tozalash.
The tariff increase is justified by the need to modernize waste collection equipment and introduce modern waste processing technologies in the region.
