Wallet in Telegram Officially Launched in Uzbekistan for Cryptocurrency Operations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Telegram Wallet, the international crypto wallet integrated directly into the messenger, has been officially launched in Uzbekistan.

From today, users in the country can freely buy, sell, and transfer cryptocurrencies using local payment systems directly within the Telegram interface.

With over 27 million users in Uzbekistan, Telegram remains the most popular messaging platform, and Wallet integration allows users to access crypto assets without installing a separate application.

Registration takes only seconds, and managing Bitcoin, Toncoin, USDT, and more than 200 other tokens is as simple as sending a message. This approach is particularly relevant in a country where over 88% of internet-active users rely on Telegram as their primary communication channel.

The service provides access to global financial markets and modern investment tools, lowers barriers to entry, and makes participation in the technological economy available not only to experienced investors but also to a broad audience.

Wallet aims to democratize finance by offering an intuitive and secure way to manage assets, build a portfolio, and participate in global financial processes based on distributed ledger technology.

The technological platform for Wallet is provided by Asterium — Uzbekistan’s largest crypto ecosystem — which enables secure buying, selling, storing, and transferring of assets via Humo, Visa, and Mastercard cards without intermediaries, minimizing fraud risks.

High transaction speed, reliable storage, transparent fees, and data protection make the service convenient for all categories of users.

“Our mission at Asterium is to make working with crypto assets simple and accessible for everyone. Wallet aligns with our approach: a convenient, transparent, and secure product that benefits people. We are ready to support the development of solutions that simplify users’ lives,” said Asterium CEO Komilhodzha Sultonov.
The launch of Wallet in Telegram in Uzbekistan followed the issuance of an official license from the National Agency for Advanced Projects (NAAPP), ensuring user identification, data protection, and prevention of financial violations.
This creates a safe and transparent environment for users and partners, aligning with the country’s national goals for financial transformation.
“Uzbekistan is one of the world’s most dynamic fintech markets,” emphasized Andrey Rogozov, founder and CEO of The Open Platform (TOP), the tech company developing Wallet.
“The high penetration of mobile internet, the scale of the Telegram audience, and a clear regulatory framework make the country an example of rapid transition to convenient and tech-driven finance. The launch of Wallet brings us closer to making crypto assets accessible, easy to use, and secure.”
Currently, Wallet has over 150 million registered users worldwide. The Uzbekistan launch follows the service’s rollout in the United States in July 2025 and precedes plans for expansion into 15 additional markets over the next two years.
