Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On April 7, Vyacheslav Arkadyevich Golyshev, a prominent state and public figure, passed away at the age of 75, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
After graduating from the Tashkent Institute of National Economy, now Tashkent State University of Economics, and completing postgraduate studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Golyshev worked in research centers and held positions including Deputy Director of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations under the President and First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Forecasting and Statistics.
In 2005–2006, as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, he oversaw key directions of the country’s socio-economic development. Golyshev also served for a long time as State Advisor to the President, demonstrating extensive experience, deep knowledge, and dedication.
He participated in the development of state programs and conceptual documents on socio-economic policy, was repeatedly elected as a deputy of the Oliy Majlis, and made a significant contribution to the development of parliamentarism and the legislative framework of reforms.
Golyshev also actively worked on training a new generation of economic specialists.
For his service, Vyacheslav Golyshev was awarded the title “Honored Economist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and the Order of “Dustlik.”
The President’s press service noted that his memory as a statesman, prominent scholar, mentor to youth, and humble person will remain forever in the hearts of fellow citizens.
