Volume of wholesale trade in Uzbekistan increases 8.6% in January-April 2019
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In January-April 2019, the volume of wholesale trade reached 20 trillion soums and, compared to the same period of last year, which increased by 8.6%, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The turnover of wholesale trade of small businesses, according to statistical calculations, reached 13.27 trillion soums and, compared to the same period of last year, increased by 1.7%. The share of this sector in the republic in the wholesale trade turnover is 66.3%. This indicator, in comparison with other regions, was higher in the city of Tashkent (78.9%), Ferghana (73.4%) and Bukhara (71.0%) regions.
In the structure of the wholesale trade turnover, the share of commodity turnover of large enterprises is 33.7% of the total sales, while their main share was observed in Navoi (64.5%) and Tashkent (60.4%) regions.
The turnover of wholesale made up 20 trillion soums in January-April 2019, including entities of non-state subordination – 19.98 trillion soums, state subordination - 23.7 billion soums. If we compare with the territory of the republic, then the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent - 45.6%, Tashkent - 10.2%, Samarkand - 8.2% and Ferghana - 5.8% of the region.
The lowest growth rates, as compared to the previous year, were observed in the volume of wholesale trade in Bukhara (-7.3%), Tashkent (-0.7%) and Kashkadarya (+2.9%) regions, as well as Tashkent city (+6.4%).
