Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 4 July 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov had a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

Topical issues of developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in areas of mutual interest were considered.

The organizational and substantive aspects of the first ministerial conference "European Union - Central Asia" on strengthening interconnectedness and sustainable development, as well as the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU and Central Asian countries held this year in our country were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the participation of the European side in the International Conference on Afghanistan (Tashkent, on 25-26 July 2022).

The European side is informed about the current situation in Karakalpakstan, the measures taken to prevent destabilization of the situation, ensure peace, tranquility and public security in the region.
