Violations in Advertising, Loans, and Water Supply Identified Across Uzbekistan Regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Regional offices of the Competition Committee continue to actively review citizens’ complaints regarding advertising, education, trade, insurance, and public utility services.

In Andijan region, an inspection of a complaint about delayed household waste removal led to the elimination of violations and a warning issued to the company «BIO TEX EKO».

In Ferghana region, a resident received a refund of approximately 2 million soums for an insurance premium after early loan repayment, while in Namangan region, the local office ensured the return of 2.5 million soums mistakenly withheld during a credit purchase through LLC «Sabina Ixlosbek Luks».

In Kashkadarya region, a resident was fully refunded 3.6 million soums paid for online courses that they were unable to attend.

In Syrdarya region, it was found that around 400 citizens received non-potable drinking water, with over 22 million soums collected; proceedings have been initiated against JSC «Syrdarya Water Supply», including mandatory recalculation and refund.

In Khorezm region, materials regarding illegal advertising of Umrah tours have been sent to court for administrative action against the Instagram profile administrator.

The Committee’s activities demonstrate a systematic approach to protecting consumer rights and ensuring compliance with legislation across the regions.
