Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A videoconference was held today with compatriots in the Benelux and Denmark countries, organized by the El Yurt Umidi Foundation in conjunction with the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Union youth, the Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Health with the assistance of the Embassy of our country in Belgium.

The goal of the videoconference was to establish contacts with compatriots living abroad to assist them in solving the problems, establish constant contact with young people working and studying in these countries, study their proposals and initiatives on pressing issues of the modern development of the republic.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries E. Hamraev acquainted the participants with the main activities of the Committee. It was emphasized that in recent years a lot of work has been done to establish contacts and provide assistance to compatriots abroad. In particular, cooperation is actively developing on compatriots with different countries, contacts with civil communities of other states, including diaspora organizations.

During the direct dialogue, the participants spoke on topics of interest to them, including the issues of education, investment, consular and legal issues. The meeting showed the effectiveness and need for such discussions.

Representatives of the Committee expressed their readiness to regularly hold such videoconferences in order to strengthen dialogue with compatriots, provide them with moral and practical support, and attract their potential to the processes of modern development of the republic.
