Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President “On measures to accelerate the development of livestock industries in the Republic of Karakalpakstan” was adopted on 7 November 2019.

In accordance with the resolution, the Commission on the accelerated development of livestock production in the Republic of Karakalpakstan was formed.

The main tasks of the Commission are to support entrepreneurial initiatives for the development of animal husbandry, the wide involvement of the population in animal husbandry, and the creation of favorable conditions for animal husbandry.

The resolution established the Veterinary College at the Nukus branch of the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine.

According to the document, when drawing up proposals for admission parameters for the academic years 2020 / 21–2022 / 23 for the baccalaureate of the Branch, special admission targets will be provided on the basis of a state grant in the Bozatausky, Muynaksky, Takhtakupyrsky and Kungrad districts in the relevant areas with a working condition of at least 5 years in these areas.

The resolution also approved the Program of measures for the development of livestock in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
