Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The khokim of Tashkent, Jahongir Artikkhojaev, met with a delegation of the VEON telecommunications holding, headed by co-chairman of the holding’s board of directors, Kaan Terzioglu.

The meeting discussed the development of digital systems, as well as the widespread adoption of the achievements of information and communication technologies in the field of public services and other areas.

The khokim of Tashkent spoke about the current pace of development of the capital and the work being carried out to update the infrastructure of the city. Speaking about the fact that it is important to apply advanced technologies in this process, he noted that cooperation with advanced countries and companies is being carried out in questions of their implementation.

Kaan Terzioglu said that VEON holding has the best, most effective and tested resources and equipment for government services programs, safe cities, traffic management and many others, after which he proposed cooperation for their import and implementation, based on the needs of Tashkent. He also spoke about investment plans for the development of digital cable infrastructure in the capital.
