Valentina Matvienko lays flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During an official visit to Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism in Tashkent.

The monument is located on Independence Square - Mustakillik Square - in the center of the capital and is one of the main attractions of the city.

The monument consists of two parts: a large golden globe with the outlines of the borders of Uzbekistan and sculptures of the Happy Mother.
