Uzvtortsvetmet to expand the supply of products to Germany, Turkey and Russia in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzvtortsvetmet this year intends to expand exports of products to Germany, Turkey, Russia and several other countries, the press service of the enterprise said.

The main consumers of the company’s products are such industries as engineering, automotive, aircraft, agriculture, transport, construction. In addition, non-ferrous metals are widely used in consumer goods manufacturing and handicrafts.

Uzvtortsvetmet exported products of more than US$15 million in 2018. Compared with 2017, the growth in exports made up 79.8%. Deliveries were made to Germany, the UK, Russia, China and Slovakia. “More specifically, we sent abroad secondary aluminum and other non-ferrous alloys, as well as products made from them, recycled scrap,” said Vladimir Kirsanov, Director for Commercial Activities of the enterprise.

In particular, exports of aluminum alloys amounted to US$3.7 million, copper alloys - US$4.1 million, scrap and non-ferrous metal waste - more than US$1 million, other products - US$6.1 million.

According to him, this year the company intends to export products by US$17.54 million, with an increase of 16.6% compared to 2018. It is planned to make deliveries to countries such as Germany, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey, India, China and Afghanistan.

Uzvtortsvetmet is the only enterprise in Central Asia specializing in the collection and processing of scrap, as well as non-ferrous metal wastes. In September 2018, the state share in Uzvtortsvetmet was transferred to trust management of a foreign enterprise LLC SFI Management Group.
