Uzum Becomes Official Partner of the Uzbekistan Football Association
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The national digital ecosystem Uzum has become an official partner of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), supporting the national team’s preparations for the World Cup and the development of football across the country.
Cooperation with Uzum will enable the Association to strengthen sports infrastructure, expand youth programs, and support the national team as it prepares for the 2026 World Cup. Prominent players of the national squad will take part in joint projects with UFA and the digital platform, inspiring young footballers by their example.
Currently, under the UFA’s umbrella, 14 regional associations operate, with more than 12,000 children and teenagers training in youth teams, while the national team represents Uzbekistan on the international stage — in the Asian Cup, World Cup qualifiers, and the Olympic Games.
UFA First Vice President Ravshan Irmatov emphasized that the partnership with Uzum is an important step for the development of football in the country and in the future will allow the implementation of joint projects to support youth, women’s, and national football.
Uzum founder and CEO Jasur Djumaev noted that supporting sport contributes to nurturing talented youth and creating conditions for new victories by current champions. “Football unites people and strengthens self-confidence. We are proud to contribute to the future of Uzbek sport together with UFA,” he added.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Uzum Bank Rasuljon Gulomov stressed that the development of football is an investment in the future. “By developing sports infrastructure and creating new opportunities for players and fans, we want football to become part of everyday life for millions of Uzbeks. We are confident that together with the Football Association we can lay the foundation for new victories and a bright sporting history,” he said.
