UzTMK Delegation Signs Agreement with MIT on Training Engineers in Advanced Technologies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from JSC “Uzbek Technological Metals Combine” (UzTMK) under the Ministry of Mining and Geology visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which has held a leading position in global educational rankings for the past ten years.

During the visit, UzTMK representatives, together with the University of Business and Science (Uzbekistan), met with MIT Vice President, Professor Dimitris Bertsimas.

The negotiations resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement on training personnel in the field of advanced technologies.

According to the agreement, in the first phase, 100 engineers from the combine will undergo training on MIT’s educational platform, gaining access to cutting-edge knowledge and world-class practices in technological innovation.
