Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 14 February, a meeting was held in Izmir (Turkey) between representatives of Uztekstilprom association and the textile department of Aegean University. This was reported by the Uztekstilprom press service.
During the meeting, a representative of the association made a presentation on the state of the textile and clothing industry in Uzbekistan and discussed issues of cooperation with the Aegean University in various areas, including joint research, higher and specialized technical education, exchange of experience and advanced training of industry experts, technical assistance, etc.
Ways of financing the expected cooperation were discussed with the assistance of grant funds from the Scientific and Technical Council for Research on Turkey (www.tubitak.gov.tr), the attraction of European Union funds for the technical re-equipment of KA107 from Erasmus +, grants from the Ministry of Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at bilateral cooperation, as well as funds of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (www.tika.gov.tr), and support for large manufacturing enterprises.
At present, a draft Memorandum of Cooperation between organizations is being prepared for subsequent signing.
