Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of deals at Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” (UzSE) for September grew by 4.3 times compared to previous month to 4.15 billion soums or US$2.56 million at the CBU exchange rate.

The volume of REPO deals made 1.76 billion soums (US$1.09 million at the CBU exchange rate). There were no deals in hard currency with shares on UzSE in September.

Total volume of deals in January – September decreased by 4.2 times compared to the previous year and made US$11.68 million at the CBU rate.

The volume of the secondary market in soums made 26%. The volume of REPO deals made 42%. The volume of IPOs made 32%. There were no hard currency deals in September.

The largest volume of deals fell to share of banks – 49%, chemical companies – 34%, agricultural companies – 10%, oil and gas companies – 7%.

The volume leader of the month were shares of Uzbekkimyomash JSC. Total volume of deals made US$869,640. Second volume leader were shares of Uktambank. Total volume of deals made US$617,210. Top three closed shares of Kapitalbank with total volume of US$246,890.

The largest deal of the month was deal with the shares of Uzbekkimyomash JSC on 6 September 2010. The volume of deal made US$869,640.

Shares of DELTA QURMAH JSC and Hamkorbank traded 3 days – the longest period compared to other companies. Total volume of deals with shares of DELTA QURMAH JSC made US$355 at the CBU exchange rate at last price of 4,593 soums (US$2.84 at the CBU exchange rate) per share.

Total volume of deals with shares of Hamkorbank made up US$55,350 at the CBU exchange rate at last price of 100 soum (US$0.06 CBU rate) per share.
