The statement said that long queues can be observed at some petrol filling stations in some district of the country, including in Tashkent, which create inconvenience for consumers and creates fair critisim.
Uzneftmahsulot said its employees in cooperation with controlling bodies are studying the situation and adopting measures to its liquidation.
The company stated that the special groups in Tashkent and places are conducting control-analytical work for 24 hours a day.
According to Uzneftmahsulot, some people, who spread rumors on decrease of petroleum production and deficit of petroleum, or end of limit for petroleum supply to the market, as well as growth of prices, are creating stir around the situation.
Believing these rumors, the vehicle owners are trying to create reserves of petroleum. Some people, who engaged in gasoline speculation, are trying to make money from the situation.
Uzneftmahsulot underlined that its studies show that rumors, created by some people, created artificial agiotage at petrol stations.
The company said that Uzbekistan has no problems with supply of petroleum or other lubricant-fuel materials. There were no problems with supply of petroleum and will not be in future, it added. The Uzbek company said that the country produces enough oil materials for production of fuel-lubricant products to meet internal demand and to export. There is no fuel deficit, the company stated.
Currently, all necessary measures are adopted to eliminate existing problems, liquidation of shortages and full satisfaction of demand of population for gasoline, the Uzbek company added.
Uzneftmahsulot called drivers and people inform cases of fuel speculation to the company or controlling bodies, calling via hotlines to Uzgosneftegazinspektsiya under the Cabinet of Ministers ((0371) 268-04-50) or the company ((0371) 231-14-21). It added that people to contribute to improvement of situation.
At the end of the statement, Uzneftmahsulot assured people that there will be no interruption in gasoline supply and called not to believe various rumors.
