Political Council of Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) held a session to discuss results of works after 2009 elections and development of new pre-election programme.
Members of the party underlined that elections are new opportunities for political parties and also is democratic exam for them. It was noted that new elections will be conducted on new public-political and social-economic conditions.
At the session, the participants considered reforms in Uzbekistan and implementation of the legislative documents.
It was underlined that over 89.7% of polled businesses underlined that the business environment in Uzbekistan improved in recent years. They also underlined that the state bodies are more open now. The state bodies also improved their websites, which help to solve social-economic issues in the places.
Political Council of UzLiDeP discussed implementation of pre-election programme of the party of 2009. It was noted that one of priorities of the party was to improve protection of private sector and formation of business environment, further development of farms, creation of infrastructure, etc.
The party initiated development and adoption of new laws to protect interests and rights of businesses, financial institutions, changes and amendments to Tax Code, and others. The party also initiated hearings on implementation of the laws in places.
The party also realized over 30 projects to ensure implementation of the pre-election promises in 2009. In last several years, UzLiDeP also worked on improving its cadre reserves. The party holds various events regularly to discuss further improvement of business environment and social-economic development of Uzbekistan, as well as solve problems of population.
At the session, the participants determined main directions of the party in upcoming period and organizational issues related with holding of the session of UzLiDeP, main directions of pre-election programme, etc.
