UzLiDeP opinion on awarding Amir Temur order to Termez city

Termez was awarded for its successes, achieved during independence years by its citizens in social-economic and cultural spheres, contribution to strengthening peace and stability, international friendship and harmony, preservation of the historical and cultural heritage, etc.

Abduqodir Toshqulov, a member of UzLiDeP faction at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, said that Surkhandarya region is unique as a place. It is an ancient place with unique history and heritage, where scientists are finding historic items.

It is symbolic that Termez was awarded with Amir Temur order as its history is directly connected with Amir Temur, Toshqulov said.

Toshqulov noted that huge work is carried out in Surkhandarya region to preserve ancient and unique culture, traditions and culture, intangible heritage. Termez State Architecture Museum, an only in Central Asia, was constructed. The 1000th anniversary of Alpomish and 2,500th anniversary of Termez were celebrated.

At the same time, the region is modern, which is achieving success in various areas. Termez and Surkhandarya region is conducting wide-scale creative works, new buildings, houses and infrastructure are built.

MP underlined that quality of life in cities and rural areas is improving. The businesses and farmers are making contribution in this area.

Termez is one of economic, cultural and communication centers not only of Surkhandarya region and Uzbekistan, but also Central Asia.
