During the meeting, the sides discussed reforms in Uzbekistan and place of political parties in these processes.

It was underlined that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have good-neighbourhood relations, strategic partnership and long-term interests. Friendly relations between Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan help to achieve recent breakthrough results in all areas of interaction between nations.

At the meeting, it was noted that political parties are able to make a worthy contribution to the fruitful cooperation between two countries.

In this regard, the sides noted that cooperation between UzLiDeP and Nur Otan parties could play important role in developing cooperation and would facilitate effective implementation of the tasks envisaged in the framework of bilateral interstate agreements.

The development of inter-party relations, as was stressed at the meeting, will serve to fill the agreements reached at the highest level with concrete content. In particular, it concerns holding joint events with participation of business circles, assistance in establishing close ties between entrepreneurs of both countries, as well as direct ties between regions to strengthen trade and economic ties and, in general, further expansion of communication and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
