UzLiDeP holds events ahead of parliamentary elections

The primary party organizations can promote ideas and goals of the party among population and it is important to strengthen their work, especially in the election year.

The primary party organizations held report and election sessions and it was noted that they should attract activists to foster their operations, study problematic issues, etc.

During the sessions, work of over 7,724 primary organizations and determined main goals. Over 142,000 activists and 724 deputies, representatives of NGOs participated in the events.

Over 6,658 heads of the primary organizations were re-elected, the party underlined. The party said that its deputies sent over 2,872 appeals to the organizations in 2013 to address important issues, related to problems of the population. The primary party organizations delivered over 500 proposals of the voters to corresponding organizations.

According to the party, major part of the proposals are related to boosting and developing activities of the UzLiDeP.

UzLiDeP also works on boosting participation of women in the primary organizations. About 37.2% of re-elected heads of primary party organizations are women and 39.5% of new members of the party are female.

Over 1,213 activists, who showed their abilities, were included to reserve of cadres of the UzLiDeP, the party said.

UzLiDeP also attracted attention of primary party organizations to prepare to upcoming elections to Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, regional, district and city Council of People’s Deputies.
