UzLiDeP faction considers several draft laws

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Faction of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDep) at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session on 16 June 2014.

MPs, experts and specialists, as well as mass media participated in the meeting, which considered several draft laws.

The faction considered a draft law “On social partnership”. The draft law is directed at forming and effective operation of social partnership in Uzbekistan. It was underlined that the draft law complies with election programme of UzLiDeP.

It was noted that the draft law regulates issues of interaction of the state bodies with NGOs in development of programmes of social-economic development, industrial and regional development programmes, etc.

MPs also discussed draft law “On commercial secret”, which will be considered by lower house of the parliament in the second reading. It was noted that the enterprises have confidential commercial information in their activities and it is necessary to protect them to ensure fair competition.

The draft law clarifies such notions as commercial secret, confidential information, regime of commercial secret, etc. UzLiDeP noted that adoption of the document willhelp to development of business entities, introduction know-how and innovations.

The draft law “On introduction of changes to article 12 of the law “On microfinancing”, which envisages to cut number of days, allocated to consideration of loan issuance, from 10 working days to three days. The changes should simplify to obtain loans by the businesses.

MPs from UzLiDeP also discussed a draft law “On introduction of changes to the law “On investment activities”, which is directed at improving activities of businesses and population in investment processes and creates stimulus for modernization of production capacities.

The faction also discussed a draft law “On introduction amendments to the Criminal Procedural Code of Uzbekistan”, which regulates mechanisms on revival of lost criminal case or its materials in line with the resolution of the prosecutor. MPs said that the amendments will improve Criminal Procedural legislation and ensure compliance of the Uzbek legislation to international laws.

The faction adopted corresponding decisions on considered issues.
