Uzbektelecom’s Net Profit Surges Nearly 19-Fold

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC “Uzbektelecom” has released its financial results for the first nine months of 2025, reporting a net profit of 321.1 billion soums, nearly 19 times higher than the 17.4 billion soums recorded over the same period of last year.

The sharp increase came primarily in the third quarter, when quarterly profit reached 311.1 billion soums, compared with a loss of 15.7 billion soums in the second quarter and a profit of 25.7 billion soums in the first quarter.

Net revenue for the reporting period rose by 18.2%, exceeding 7.8 trillion soums, while gross profit grew by 30.9%, reaching 2.7 trillion soums.

Key structural indicators included an increase in assets to 13.3 trillion soums (+8.2% year-on-year), equity growth to 2.9 trillion soums (+15.2%), and a dramatic surge in retained earnings of 1,192.9%, reaching 321.1 billion soums.

Company expenses also rose, with interest costs increasing from 347.3 billion to 429.4 billion soums (+23.6% year-on-year).
