Spokesman of Uzbekoziqovqatholding U. Ruziev said that Uzbekoziqovqatholding signed contracts on import of sugar with foreign partners in line with the Government instruction.

He said that the main purpose of these actions is not to allow a sharp increase in the price of sugar, but also to prevent its shortage by uninterrupted delivery of sugar to trade and production companies in the regions.

Currently, all conditions were created to ensure sale of sugar at the price not higher than 5,000 soums a kilogram.
