“Uzbekneftegaz” Reaches Agreement with Dong Fang Electric on Implementing Artificial Intelligence in Gas Production Processes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The working visit of Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz,” to the People’s Republic of China proved intensive and productive, encompassing a series of strategic meetings aimed at increasing natural gas production and introducing advanced technologies into the sector.

The final day of the visit focused on negotiations with leading companies specializing in pipe manufacturing, deep drilling, digitalization, and the implementation of artificial intelligence systems, which are critical for the oil and gas industry.

During discussions with one of China’s largest industrial enterprises, Dong Fang Electric, an agreement was reached to digitalize production processes and apply artificial intelligence technologies, enhancing both the efficiency and safety of operations.

Agreements were also reached with Shandong Molong and Hengyang Valin regarding the supply of advanced pipe products designed for drilling wells up to 7,000 meters deep, capable of operating under high-pressure conditions and complex geological formations.

Negotiations with XIBU resulted in a commitment to provide long-term well-drilling service support.

Meetings with representatives of China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation (CPTDC) secured agreements on the supply of pipe products, wellhead equipment, drilling rigs, and other machinery produced by CNPC subsidiaries.

All discussions emphasized increasing drilling efficiency, reducing well construction timelines, and introducing modern drilling rigs alongside comprehensive service solutions.

During the dialogue with Chinese partners, the Chairman of “Uzbekneftegaz” stressed that in 2026, the company intends to accelerate the implementation of all initiatives aimed at boosting natural gas production, with quality and modern technologies remaining key to achieving these goals.
