Uzbekneftegaz said that the project was realized within the presidential decree “On investment programmes of Uzbekistan for 2014”.
The project was aimed at increasing extraction of natural gas and condensate from remaining reserves of Alan gas field.
Introduction of the booster compressor station will increase gas production at the Alan field and will make it possible to support the nominal conditions of trade preparation of the gas before it is fed to the Mubarek gas compressor plant.
Russia’s Kazan Motor Building Production Association supplied equipment to construction of booster station Alan. The capacity of the station is 5 billion cubic meters of gas a year.
The project with the cost of US$178.3 million was carried out due to own resources of Uzbekneftegaz for US$89.2 million, a loan from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan - $53.5 million, as well as loans from local and foreign banks – US$35.6 million.
