Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 January, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation of Gazprombank JSC (Russia) headed by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Alexey Matveev to consider current issues of cooperation and prospects for its development.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy Umidjon Israilov and Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullaev.
During the negotiations, it was noted that the bank is actively cooperating in the oil and gas sector, the total financing of which is about US$900 million, including investment projects such as the program to increase hydrocarbon production, the construction of the GTL plant, the expansion of the production capacity of the Shurtan Mining and Chemical Combine, and others.
The management of Gazprombank expressed interest in expanding cooperation by financing other investment projects, such as "Exploration and development of the Mustakillikning 25 Yilligi field with the construction of a gas chemical complex in Surkhandarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan under PSA conditions."
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly consider expanding cooperation in all areas of the energy industry.
