“Uzbekneftegaz” Engages International Companies to Stabilize Emergency Oil Field

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz, Abduganiy Sanginov, visited the “25th Anniversary of Independence” oil field in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region to assess the situation and oversee emergency response operations.

On site, he personally reviewed the technical condition of the field, discussed safety measures, and monitored the progress of ongoing work with responsible specialists.

Currently, Uzbekneftegaz is negotiating with leading international companies to bring in advanced technologies and expert support to stabilize the situation and systematically resolve the emergency.

This issue was also addressed during the Chairman’s working visit to China, including a meeting with the President of CNPC, one of the world’s top three oil and gas companies.

Experts from CNPC and the American company Schlumberger are expected to provide recommendations on applying advanced technologies to stabilize the field and progressively eliminate the consequences of the incident.
