Uzbekneftegaz Discusses Technology Development and Digitalization with Canada

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Bahodirjon Sidikov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz, met with a delegation led by Christopher Duggan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector, including technology exchange, implementation of innovative solutions, development of educational programs, and professional skills enhancement.

Particular attention was given to the activities of Condor Energies, which is implementing several projects in Uzbekistan and has achieved significant results in introducing high-tech solutions. The parties noted the potential for applying modern horizontal drilling methods and data analysis tools to improve production efficiency.

The Canadian representatives expressed their readiness to participate in projects related to exploration, extraction, and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as in the digitalization of the sector — including the implementation of artificial intelligence, automation, data analysis, and energy-efficient technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, mutual interest was confirmed in developing a long-term partnership, creating practical mechanisms for technical expertise exchange, and expanding business ties between companies from both countries.
