Uzbekneftegaz and Zarubezhneft are planning to implement a joint project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Zarubezhneft is today regarded as one of the key partners of Uzbekneftegaz in implementing projects to increase hydrocarbon production at low-yield fields in Uzbekistan.

In this direction, the specialists of the two companies have so far conducted a joint study.

As the Deputy General Director of Zarubezhneft JSC I.Afanasyev noted during the meeting at Uzbekneftegaz on 26 September, in the course of the study, the Uzbek side held multiple meetings with scientific institutes of UzLITIneftgaz, IGIRNIGM, and also organized a visit to the Andijanneft field.

As a result of the work done, the Russian company made a statement that it could implement a project to increase oil production in the long-developed fields of the Ferghana region.

It was also noted that Zarubezhneft is interested in the further implementation of the project and in discussing the transition to the next stage, with more specific actions to prepare for signing the agreement.

The parties discussed various forms of interaction, such as the possibility of creating a joint venture, the formation of the operator and the signing of a service contract. It was decided to discuss this issue with the provision of necessary specialists of the parties in the next visit of the Russian company.
