Uzbekneftegaz and KazMunayGas Discuss Accelerating Linear Alkylbenzene Production Project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC Uzbekneftegaz hosted a meeting with the leadership of a subsidiary of Kazakhstan's national company KazMunayGas.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the current status of their joint project to produce linear alkylbenzene (LAB) — a key raw material for synthetic detergents and household chemicals — and outlined the stages of its practical implementation.

Noting their mutual interest in the successful launch of the project, representatives of both companies agreed to intensify project work in the near term and complete the preparation of the relevant technical and economic parameters.

The project carries strategic importance for both Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as it will enable the regional market's needs to be met, deepen the localization of petrochemical production, and expand the export potential of both countries.
